Module 2 – Lesson 3- Our equalities

Australia’s legal system is established to ensure that no one is treated differently because of their age, gender, colour, or disability. Men and women have equal rights in Australia, and it is unlawful to discriminate against anybody on the basis of gender.

Furthermore, the right to equal opportunity, sometimes known as a “fair go,” is highly prized in Australia. This idea holds that an individual’s accomplishments should be the product of skill and hard effort, rather than birth or personal riches. Australia seeks to have no class divides as a society.
