Module 4 – Lesson 3- Equality of opportunity and a “fair go”

It is a basic aspect of Australian society that everyone deserves a “fair go,” which means that everyone has equal opportunity to achieve their goals regardless of money, social class, gender, race, or other factors. All that should important is an individual’s talent, abilities, and experience, as well as their aptitude for hard effort.

This is especially crucial in a nation like Australia, where migrants have been accepted and permitted to advance to the top of their professions, enterprises, public services, artistic groups, and sports.
